New Site New Ideas

Jesse and I have *finally* bought a domain name, and are in the process of setting up a website. In case you didn’t guess, the new domain name is Hope you like it. šŸ™‚ I’ve just got to say, picking a domain name is not as easy as it sounds. We had a few “requirements”:

  1. short – so that it’s easy to type
  2. .com, .net, and .org all available – we don’t want to get confused with somebody with the same name of a different TLD
  3. easy to say – it should roll off the tongue
  4. easy to spell – so that you don’t have to spell it out when talking to someone. ie: would be really bad.

What’s really annoying is how many good domain names are taken, but not being used. People should at least be responsible for pointing their domain name to a server if they are going to keep it!

Anyway… I’ve got lots of new ideas for what to do with the site, so be sure to come back soon.

Oh, one last thing. If you’re wondering why we’re using .org instead of other TLD choices see: Wikipedia: Top-Level Domain.
